Campus wireless network system integration

Mobile computer lab - more and more students wishing broadband applications to access the computer outside the classroom. Therefore, a mobile computer lab is becoming increasingly popular on campus. Using mobile computer labs, PC and laptops are brought into each classroom, students can connect to full use by wireless broadband capabilities in these classrooms.

Examples of wireless network design
Low-cost campus network
Even though they have adopted a simple infrastructure, schools can also use a hierarchical switching architecture to intelligently manage users, servers, and connections with the outside world. As shown in Figure 3, a high-performance, high-availability Layer 3 switches can manage the core function of the network, to ensure optimal performance of a backbone network.

Alone or stacked desktop switches the second layer and the third layer switches may be connected together in a star, to provide access solutions for fixed position of the traditional user base. The need for a flexible connection of classrooms and other locations (such as the library and office), you can only install a wireless access point connecting line, instead of connecting multiple cables fixed base stations. In this way, schools can use flexibly distributed to each classroom of laptops, which are in each computer within range of access points, they can also easily change the configuration of the classroom and quickly, without the need to change the line layout .

High-performance deployment
More complex campus networks can get more benefits from the same level of switching architecture and wireless coverage. 4, the campus-level one T1 line can effectively provide Internet connectivity for many schools, so that schools do not need to pay a monthly fee associated. Can be connected by conventional wiring to a new building or location (very close to the building concerned), it can also be seen by the naked eye of the deployment point or multipoint solutions at low cost coverage longer or short distance (at a rate of up to 11Mbps covers 15 miles, or at a rate of up to 5.5Mbps covering 25 miles), or across an obstacle and other rivers or highways. Investment in an inter-LAN connections will be visible within three to four months to recover, by contrast, if the traditional T1 connection, you need to pay a high monthly cost.
